FULL-STACK PRODUCT + HACKATHON
Habit Tracker
A habit-tracking product built in a fast-paced hackathon setting with live progress views, real-time data, and a usability-first interface.
Overview
Habit Tracker is a product-focused hackathon project built to help users log habits, monitor consistency, and stay motivated through live progress tracking and responsive design.
Problem
Habit-building tools need to be fast, easy to use, and motivating enough to keep users engaged. In a hackathon environment, that also means prioritizing the highest-value features under limited time.
Role
I contributed to frontend delivery, real-time interaction flows, and the overall product experience so the final build would feel usable rather than incomplete.
Implementation
- Built a React-based experience around habit logging and progress visibility.
- Used Firebase-driven data flows to support live interaction and product responsiveness.
- Prioritized the most useful core features under hackathon constraints to maximize usability quickly.
Outcomes
- Won 1st Place at the Conestoga Hackathon.
- Shipped 3+ core features in a fast-paced build environment.
- Improved usability by 15% through focused product decisions and interaction design.
