PANDEMIC HACKATHON + DIGITAL COMMERCE
Online Business Mart
A hackathon-built digital business concept created during the pandemic to explore online commerce and chatbot-assisted workflow support.
Overview
Online Business Mart was built as a hackathon project during the pandemic, when digital-first systems became even more important. The idea was to explore an online business platform supported by conversational or automation-oriented assistance.
Problem
Small and medium business workflows became harder during the pandemic because physical interaction dropped while digital process expectations increased. The project explored how a digital business layer could reduce friction.
Role
I contributed to the product concept and technical shaping of the experience, including the broader thinking around chatbot-assisted support and task flow simplification.
Implementation
- Built an early digital-business concept under hackathon time constraints.
- Explored a chatbot-assisted workflow direction to make user interaction more guided and practical.
- Worked around real hackathon limitations where some automation and bot integrations were too heavy to complete fully in time.
Outcomes
- Ranked among the top 42 globally in Hack Against COVID.
- Demonstrated fast product thinking under urgent, high-pressure conditions.
- Showed the ability to frame digital commerce problems in a practical, solution-first way.
